Let's start out this collection of things I've been thinking about with an exciting adventure for my niece Alyson, her husband Nick, and their charming and adorable18 month old son Judd. It began when Alyson entered an online contest and won tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll. Nick and Aly decided they couldn't pass up the trip even though they're in the middle of a big house remodeling project, so off they went to roll Easter Eggs, along with many thousands of other people.
At the event they were lucky enough to be one of 12 couples who got to be in the photo-opportunity of a lifetime and meet the Obamas! Their exciting day at the White House time was even covered on to the local news if you want to watch the video. (And even in a family that's split between die-hard Democrats and die-hard Republicans, everyone agrees that meeting the president and first lady is definitely a big deal!)
Now here are more things I've been thinking about . . .
