Onion peanut Chutney

Today I am almost back after an year with a recipe. It's going to be a very simple quick recipe for the day. As it's a weekend, generally we grab a pack of dosa batter for the quick breakfast and suppose you do not have coconut with you for the chutney and almost bored of preparing potato sabzi. Ingredients:
Onion - 1 roughly chopped
Cumin seeds -  1/2 tsp
Roasted peanut - 1 tbsp
Roasted bengal gram - 1/2 tbsp (optional)
Tamarind paste - 1 tbsp
Salt - required
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Ginger - 1/2 an inch (optionla)
Green chili -  1 or 2
Coriander - 1/8th cup
Dried red chili - 1 (optional)

For tempering:
Oil - 2- 3 tsp
Mustard  seeds- 1/2 tsp

Procedure:
1. Heat 1/2 a tsp oil in a pan, add cumin seeds roughly chopped onion, curry leaves, ginger piece, green chili and roast for 2-3 mins.
2. Allow the roasted mix to cool down. Add it to the mixing jar followed by peanuts, roasted bengal gram, salt, sugar, tamarind / tamarind paste, coriander and grind it to smooth paste. Add 1/4 glass of water to the mix.

3. Temper the mixed paste on a tsp of oil along with the mustard seeds and dried red chili.

Notes:
  • You can adjust the salt, sugar , tamarind quantity based on your need.
  • The given measurement is as per 2 servings, you can increase the quantity of onion & peanuts base don your need.
