This is the most simplest recipe that can be prepared out of left over excess bread that you have in your kitchen, it does not require much ingredients. It has got all the tastes sweet, tangy and spicy. Adding lemon juice gives it a tangy taste makes it more delicious.

If you do not have roasted groundnuts then you can add the groundnuts at the beginning after you add items to temper and fry for 2-3 mins.
Ingredients:
Bread slices | 8-10 |
Green chilly | 2 sliced |
Onion | 1 big finely chopped |
Tomato | 1 finely chopped |
Coriander | Handful of |
Lemon juice | ½ tea spoon |
Roasted Groundnut | Handful of |
Sugar | ½ tea spoon |
Salt | As per taste |
To Temper:
Oil | 1 tea spoon |
Mustard seeds | 1/2 tea spoon |
Cumin seeds | ½ tea spoon |
Curry leaves | 5-6 |
Turmeric powder | ½ tea spoon |
Procedure:
- Cut the bread slices into small cubes as shown in the pic.
- Heat oil in a pan on moderate flame, when heated add the items for temper and green chilly.
- Add chopped onion, salt and sauté for 2-3 mins until it becomes translucent.
- Add tomato and sauté for 4- 5 mins until tomato gets dissolved.
- Add the roasted groundnuts, bread cubes, coriander leaves and mix well.
- Add lemon juice and half a spoon of sugar. Mix well. Keep for 4-5 mins, until bread becomes soft and gets completely mixed with rest of the ingredients.
- Garnish this with coriander leaves.
